Terms and Conditions : Cottages and houses
Price Includes: Accommodation and channel crossing if booked
To Take With You: Sheets and Towels (unless rented locally)
To Pay Locally: Electric charges. Cleaning charges if cottage is not left perfectly clean.. Internet charges (if available).
Damage Deposit:100 Euros (double for stays of 30days upwards) refunded on departure. Departure is between 9-10am when the damage deposit is returned. For clients who leave outside this time the deposit is returned by sterling cheque after your return. TopSun is not responsible for any bank charges involved in cashing this cheque.
Clients with pets. There is a twenty euro charge per dog (double for stays longer than 14 nights). Cats are not accepted.This charge is payable on site. Pets must be kept on a lead in the grounds.
BBQ: please note any BBQ is forbidden within 50 metres of a thatched roof.
Optional Extras: Payable on site. Sheets and towels. Baby Cot. Wi-Fi. Internet(if available): when available we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. In the event of service interruption compensation is limited to a refund of internet fees for the period of service interruption.
Properties: Our properties in the country: You should be aware that country fauna and flora will be present. This could include field mice. Old properties do not have a damp course. In our thatched properties there can be a smell of damp: especially after heavy rain.
Heating: Oil or parafin heaters may not be used in our properties.
Smoking: clients are requested not to smoke in the cottages. TopSun can not guarantee that a previous client has not smoked in the cottages.
Payment: You must pay 25% at the time of booking. The remainder is due 8 weeks before arrival. If you book your holiday less than 8weeks before arrival you must pay the full amount at the time of booking. The contract When we receive your 25% deposit we will confirm your booking in writing and receipt your payment. We will confirm your accommodation and details of anything else you have requested (Sheets, towels, baby cot. When your final payment is paid we will issue a receipt and send directions and a check-in voucher to be presented upon arrival.
OverPayment: if you overpay your account you will have a credit balance to use against future bookings. Alternatively we will refund this amount in sterling less a 10 pounds administration fee. Please note TopSun can not be responsible for any bank charges involed in cashing this cheque.
Credit cards: There is a 3% charge you pay by credit or debit card or on line payment. However overdue payments made by credit card will have 4% added to the amount due.
Transportation: If we book your channel crossing you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the transport company. You must advise us if any party member is in the late stages of pregnancy as travel restrictions differ.
EUROTUNNEL: LPG or dual fuel vehicles are not allowed on Eurotunnel.
Please alert us if your car is higher than 185cm as there is a supplement to pay.
Industrial Action: Top Sun is not responsible for any loss resulting from industrial action.
Transport Disruption: Top Sun is not responsible for any loss resulting from transport disruption. TopSun is not responsible for any loss resulting from your late arrival at our residence. You must us know if you are to be late so we can make arrangements for a late arrival (if possible).
Interuption to utilities: Top Sun is not responsible for any loss resulting from failure of utilites (including wi-fi).
Climate: Top Sun is not responsible for loss resulting from climatic conditions
Cancellation: If you cancel your booking, or we have to cancel it because you have not paid promptly, you will have to pay a cancellation charge. This charge is the 25% deposit if you cancel more than 8 weeks before arrival. Less than 8 weeks before arrival the charge is 100 percent of the total cost of the holiday.
Refunds: If we cancel your refund is limited to the amount you have paid.
In exceptional circumstances, refunds are given at the discretion of the management.
Our Responsibility: We accept responsibility for all the parts of your booking made with us. If any part is not provided as promised, and if this has affected the enjoyment of your holiday we will, at our discretion, pay you appropriate compensation. You are required to give us the opportunity to address your problem while you are still at the resort.
HOLIDAY PROTECTION: Top Sun complies with the European Union package travel directive to protect your holiday. You money is kept in a trust fund until you return from your trip. Only then does TOP SUN LTD have access to your money.
Your Responsibility: Any clients who infringe apartment regulations or local laws or who upset the enjoyment of other clients may be evicted from their accommodation and be required to find other accommodation at their own expense.
Surcharge Guarantee: Once you have a confirmed booking we will not increase the price due to currency fluctuations. Travel Advice The Foreign and commonwealth Office may have issued travel advise for your destination. You are advised to check this at the time of booking. http://www.fco.gov.uk/
Jurisdiction: This contract is covered by the laws of England . No contract is created until the first payment has been made.
If you have a complaint you must tell our on site agent immediately. If we can not resolve your problem in the resort you must contact us in the UK. Outside office hours you should call 020 7724 1507: messages are collected regularly.If we can not resolve the problem you must write to our London office within 14 days of your return. We will aim to repond within 30 days. However due to the nature of our business we are unable to respond in June July or August.
